First Step Activity: The Living Planet Aquarium
__The Utah Hemophilia Foundation and Accredo/Hemophilia Health Services present a First Step (children 7 and under with bleeding disorders and their immediate family) event on Saturday, February 11th from 10 a.m. — noon at The Living Planet Aquarium (725 E. 10600 S., Sandy).
During our fun workshop, parents and children will discuss cognitive understanding changes regarding different age groups and how to use everyday opportunities to teach children about bleeding disorders. Parents and children will then take part in learning experiences through different medical stations and fun activities that teach more about bleeding disorders and treatment. Additionally, children will have the opportunity to make a “Blood Sundae”—not as gross as it sounds!—as they learn about the function of blood. Following the workshop, food will be served, and families will have the opportunity to explore The Living Planet Aquarium together. We hope you can join us at this fun and educational First Step event! Please RSVP by Wednesday, February 8th to Jan Western at western@hemophiliautah.org or 801-484-0325.
