A Very Successful Teen Retreat!
Take a few dozen teens and a weekend at the Homestead and what do you have? A very successful UHF Teen Retreat! Teens with bleeding disorders, siblings and teens with affected parents spent the weekend swimming, eating, laughing and getting to know one another the weekend of May 1st - 2nd. Click here to view photos from the event. The highlight of the event was a very entertaining, day-long presentation by our special guest speaker, Shannon Pickard. Shannon taught the teens, through humor, games and poignant life situations that “the choice is yours” – to make your life what you want it to be. Our thanks go out to the many volunteer chaperones who helped that weekend: Steve Kimball, Jamie Lott, Eric and Becky Melde, Dave and Shaleen Winslow, and Becky Ybarra.
