UHF SCHOLARSHIPS

The Board of the Utah Hemophilia Foundation is proud to offer scholarships for the 2008 - 2009 academic year. These scholarships are for members of the bleeding disorders community served by the Utah Hemophilia Foundation and/or the Hemophilia Treatment Center in Salt Lake City. This includes those who have a bleeding disorder, their spouses, children, and parents. Please be aware that preference will be given to applicants most directly affected by a bleeding disorder and also those who live in Utah.

These scholarships range from $500 to $1500 and are intended for post-high school education and training. Therefore, only those who are already enrolled or are planning to enroll in a college, university, trade school, or technical program may apply. All awards must be used within the academic calendar year for which they are issued.

To apply for these scholarships, you must submit an application (CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD APPLICATION), two essays, two letters of reference, and a copy of your latest transcripts. Please mail all materials to the Foundation office at 772 East 3300 South, Suite 210, Salt Lake City, Utah 84106 by Monday, May 12. Applications not postmarked by May 12, as well as incomplete applications, will not be considered. Please use only the 2008 UHF scholarship application as all other applications are outdated. All applicants will be notified of scholarship decisions by June 30.

Your references should be provided by two people who know you well but are not relatives. Please consider teachers, religious leaders, employers, volunteer coordinators, or others who can describe your specific strengths and qualities.
